Selecting and downloading¶
Selecting¶
- Hover a thumbnail and click its check mark.
- Shift-click another to select everything between.
- Click the check on a day heading for the whole day, or Select all.
A selection bar appears at the bottom with what you can do: favorite, add to an album, tag, edit, set a location, rotate, copy metadata, rename by date, move, download, or move to the trash. Every list with check marks in iopix uses this same bar.
Downloading¶
Download makes a zip of the originals of the selection, the current search, an album or a folder, keeping the folder structure. It streams straight to your browser, without filling the server's disk first. Options:
- include the XMP sidecars,
- resize (long edge 4096, 2048 or 1280 pixels),
- convert to JPEG (from HEIC, PNG, TIFF, WebP),
- name by date, such as
2026-10-17_143205, - put everything in one folder,
- remove the location from photos and videos.
Converted copies are turned upright and keep their dates, camera details, keywords and captions. The files in your library never change.
Large downloads are split into parts of 1, 2, 4 or 8 GB (2 GB by default) that unzip into one folder. The whole library is never offered as one download.
